Accessibility Statement
Effective 6 August 2026
ASTREA LLC wants withastrea.com to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or reduced motion. This statement says exactly what we have done and where we know the limits are.
1. Conformance
This site is built and tested to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Every page is checked automatically against WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Level A and AA on each release, on desktop and on a mobile device profile, using axe-core. The current release reports zero violations. Automated testing cannot prove full conformance on its own, so we describe this as a substantial conformance claim, not a certification.
2. What that means in practice
All content is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
A skip link jumps straight to the main content.
Body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 and headings and large text at least 3:1. The gold accent is never used for small text.
Every image carries descriptive alternative text and explicit dimensions, so nothing shifts as the page loads.
Headings follow a single, sequential outline on every page.
The accordion, the language switch, the mobile menu and the contact form all report their state to assistive technology, and form errors are announced.
If your system asks for reduced motion, every animation and transition is switched off.
The page is fully readable with JavaScript disabled: content is delivered as complete HTML, not assembled in the browser.
Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows without loss of content down to a 320-pixel-wide viewport.
3. Known limitations
The Spanish translation is applied in the browser after the page loads. If JavaScript is unavailable, the page is served and read correctly in English.
Client photographs on the case cards are decorative portraits; their alternative text is the person’s name, which is the useful information rather than a description of the image.
4. Feedback
If you find something on this site you cannot use, write to info@withastrea.com and describe the page and what happened. We aim to reply within one business day and to fix accessibility defects ahead of other work.
5. Technical basis
The site relies on HTML, CSS, SVG and JavaScript. It is tested with current versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari, and with the screen reader support built into those browsers and their operating systems.
